Malted Milk Ball

Or Whopper if you prefer.

I remember eating loads of malted milk balls when I was little, and even today I will get a few although now they’re the mint chocolate variety which would likely make for a delicious cocktail as well. Although I don’t know how many people keep malted milk powder on hand, we happened to have some which inspired me to make a cocktail that borders on being a malted milk shake, and you can make it all in a single jar without ice or a blender.

Recipe:

In an 8 oz mason jar, preferably Ball brand for the sake of puns, pour 1 tbsp malted milk, 1 oz dark crème de cacao, and 1 oz vodka.

Screw on top and shake until dissolved.

Add 2 oz vanilla ice cream.

Reapply top and shake until ice cream is melted.

Serve with a straw.

  1. This is one of my husband’s favorite candies! He’ll love me if I make it for him. Ball jars are the best for puns. I asked Hubby to pick some up for me at Wal-Mart once and he went asking for them in the Pharmacy. The pharmacist almost died laughing. (No idea what Hubby thought I was going to do with them…)

    • How did you not ask for the reasoning behind going to the pharmacist counter? And why on earth would you share that story without an answer?! That’s just cruel because now I have to know. 🙁

      Maybe he still remembers? 🙂
