Strawberry Pecan Fudge

I had the weirdest dream last night that I’d bought my husband a $10k gold watch, and when he said he didn’t like it, I decided to keep it for myself – I guess I’d conveniently had it sized for my wrist or something.

Later I was trying to get into a movie (something like Sex and the City) until I saw that there was a dress code and only the prettiest and trendiest were allowed in – you basically had to interview and be judged for a ticket. On camera.

So.

Freakin’.

Weird.

And of course there was a chase scene somewhere in there because nearly all my dreams involve running from something/someone. I think the chase scene involved the people judging movie-goers.

Anyway, this morning I made myself a cocktail inspired by strawberry pecan fudge and enjoyed it in the shower while getting ready for the day. Decadence perfected. So good.

Wouldn’t this be such a great surprise for your romantic partner?

Recipe:

In a Collins glass filled with ice, pour ½ oz strawberry liqueur, ½ oz pecan liqueur, and 1 oz white rum.

Top with chocolate soda (e.g., Canfield’s).

Serve with a straw.

Rainbow sprinkle rim optional unless you had some freaky dreams last night.  Then it’s mandatory.

  1. Well I will do the trifecta of comunicato m (plural of comunicati) – (had to look this word up, even with 5 degrees I spell like a 3rd grader).
Anyway, how do you get the sprinkles to stick on the glass; I want to put those on every glass I drink – for the rest of my life.
Secondly, can I preorder the book or the calendar?
My ramblings are from 2 hours of sleep due to the fear that my wife was going to shave my eyebrows off. A fear developed from having two brothers.

    • LOL! An understandable fear especially with so little sleep.

I actually got the sprinkles to stick with some glitter frosting stuff but corn syrup and honey work well also. 🙂

  2. Lol every time I have an unusual dream, I have a habit of googling it to figure out what it can mean. I’ve had some purdy weird dreams! It’s always interesting to find out what the dream could be saying. Hmmm…maybe subconsciously all the effort you try to put into what you think is for your husbands well being is subconsciously for your own gains? Lol just kidding I have no idea.

Wow you drink in the shower!! Awesome. I’ve never drank in the shower before but I can see myself enjoying the drink with a bubble bath lol.
