Pecan Brittle

This Christmas was kind of funny, but I’ll need to back up a bit to properly explain it.

A few months ago, I heard about Cards Against Humanity and how hilariously dark and twisted it was, and being a person with a dark (or maybe just so dry that it becomes dark) sense of humor, I immediately wanted it and subsequently purchased it as soon as I saw a copy available on Amazon. One of my sisters visited me in October and must have heard me mention Cards Against Humanity. I cannot say for sure whether or not I already had the game when she was here.

Fast forward to December and presents from this sister and a good friend – they’d both managed to give me a copy of the game! I worry what messages I send because it likely doesn’t bode well for me…

I appreciate them knowing me so well, and my husband and I managed to sell a copy to his manager at a discounted price. The other I will return to my friend who doesn’t own a copy herself, and it all works out pretty well.

Anyway, back on topic…

In addition to the game, my sister sent me homemade candied pecans which are delicious, and inspired by the candy, I decided to make this drink.

Recipe:

In a collins glass filled with ice, pour 1 oz Pecan Liqueur and 1 oz Butterscotch Schnapps.  Top with milk and serve with a straw.

    • Aw! You’re far too kind, and you’re absolutely right about it being simple. Some of the recipes get complicated, but simple is frequently the tastiest. 😀

    • I can totally see making a jar of pecan brittle and sending it with a card for the drinkable version. Great idea! 🙂
