Bourbon Pecan Pie Balls

These candy balls were inspired by bourbon pecan pie, which is my absolute favorite pie EVER!

Who doesn’t like bourbon pecan pie?

Monsters. That’s who.

These little confections are sweet and gooey and luscious and don’t require any baking! Yay!

And how fun to serve these at a party! Everyone will think you’re super crazy fancy.

Recipe (approximately 24 balls):

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Bourbon
  • ½ cup Crushed pecans (“cookie pieces” size)
  • ½ cup Light corn syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp Sweet butter (room temperature)
  • 2 cups Vanilla wafer cookies (Nabisco Nilla Wafer kind; pulverized)
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the pecans, corn syrup, bourbon, and salt.
  2. Cover and let stand for 1 hour at room temperature.
  3. Combine the pecan mixture with the vanilla wafers and butter until you have a thick dough.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes until scoopable.
  5. Form approximately 24 balls. A ½ oz disher helps.
  6. Refrigerate to set.
  7. Coat the balls with powdered sugar.
  8. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
