Chocolate Churro

There’s a progressive dinner coming up, and I have second course which I’ve had for two previous progressive dinners. I’m sorta running low on “interesting” ideas because I want to do something different, and being second course out of four, I feel like it should be a salad. I’m debating whether to do something with beets, pesto, peas, or broccoli, but I’ve just not made up my mind.

If I had the dessert course, I’d make these Chocolate Churros with Mexican Dipping Sauce because I could buy churros down the road and then make the sauce, but since I don’t have the dessert course, I decided to make a cocktail inspired by the recipe. It’s sweet and chocolate-y with a little bit of kick!

In a 12 oz glass filled with crushed ice, pour 1 oz dark creme de cacao, 1 oz vodka, and a dash or two of hot sauce.

Top with cream soda.

Garnish with an orange slice and serve with a straw.
