Going back to the “purely inspired” sorts of cocktails, this one came from Wilton’s Banana Walnut French Toast cupcake recipe! The only thing is that I don’t have walnut liqueur, so I switched it out for hazelnut (i.e., Frangelico). Of course, you can go with walnut if you happen to have it.
While I really like this cocktail, the banana is quite strong, or rather 99 Bananas is quite strong. You might prefer to use a ¼ oz (1½ tsp or ½ tbsp) instead of a ½ oz depending on what brand you have and how much banana flavor you like – just remember that it’s easier to add than remove.

In a 12 oz glass, pour ½ oz maple syrup, ½ oz banana liqueur, ½ oz Frangelico, and 1 oz vodka.
Stir and carefully fill with crushed ice.
Top with cream soda.
Serve with a straw.
