Strawberry Shortcake

I guess I liked the chocolate eclair shooter/dessert so much that I decided to upgrade the idea to a full size dessert! So, so delicious!

Of course, you can still do this one as shooters or small desserts, but there’s honestly 2 oz of liqueur in each of these which is perfect for me and my sweet heart.

Here’s hoping he gets to have his before my husband gets home.

Just kidding! My husband is my sweet heart, and he loves strawberry shortcake which means this should be a nice surprise.

Ingredients for Four 2 oz Shooters (or Two 4 oz Desserts):

  • 1 package Knox Gelatin
  • ½ cup Cold Water
  • ¼ cup Wedding Cake Vodka
  • ¼ cup Strawberry Liqueur
  • Cool Whip
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pour package of Knox gelatin into microwavable container, add ½ cup cold water, and stir.
  2. Microwave until gelatin has bloomed, stirring periodically.
  3. Pour ¼ cup of the mixture into a separate container.
  4. To each ¼ cup of mixture, add ¼ cup wedding cake vodka to one and ¼ cup strawberry liqueur to the other.
  5. Pour the wedding cake mixture equally among containers and refrigerate until set.
  6. Once set, top with the strawberry mixture. A large dosing syringe or turkey baster helps if making shooters.
  7. Refrigerate again until set.
  8. Before serving, top with Cool Whip and sprinkles.
