Orange Chocolate Beertail

Today’s drink is a crazy easy one with only two ingredients, beer and triple sec. The only trick is selecting the correct beer as it really should be a chocolate beer on the slightly bitter side.

For this one, I’m using Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale by Atwater Brewery which has a strong chocolate flavor without any sickening sweetness. It runs on the slightly bitter side, and it’s completely delicious on its own. However, running a bit bitter makes it an ideal candidate because triple sec is quite sweet.

Recipe:

In a pint glass, pour 1-2 oz triple sec (depending on the beer) and 12 oz chocolate ale or stout.

Garnish with an orange wedge.

  1. Love the orange and chocolate combo. I remember the first time having orange chocolate as a kid. My friend had some and she was so stingy about savoring it as much as she could. She’d only share and eat little at a time. Maybe that’s what made it so tempting. But I sure did love it whenever she’d share.
